A Proud Volunteer
I spent some valuable time with Alzheimer’s Research UK on my first of many #CheerSquad experiences to encourage and spread positive vibes for over 500 incredible #ARUK runners at the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024.
It was rewarding fuelling and igniting Hope, but even more fulfilling to know that the fundraising efforts amounted to an amazing £313,800 (with gift aid) and more coming in.
This amount will definitely help #ARUK invest in the best research to revolutionise the treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of dementia.
Every step brings us closer to a world without dementia, and our cheer echoes a promise: that we are in this together, step by step, mile by mile. Of course, I enjoyed our Elmer the Elephant-themed brass band, music, and London City sightseeing bus!
Our Next Cheer Squad event was the iconic TCS London Marathon on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
